Order

If you have chosen Paypal or credit card as the payment method, your order will be processed immediately and is usually ready to ship the next day. The speed of your delivery is unfortunately still reliant on the speed of our shipping logistics company DHL. You can expect your order to reach you in Germany within up to five days, in the rest of Europe within up to 8 days.

At Fitz & Huxley, we place great value upon the quality and durability of our backpacks, as well as the smooth processing of your order. If something is wrong with your order, you can contact us at service@fitzandhuxley.com or +49 (0)30 2352 3909.

The warranty period is two years from the date of purchase. If anything is wrong with your Fitz & Huxley backpack, please contact us at service@fitzandhuxley.com or +49 (0)30 2352 3909. We will quickly and easily take care of your problem!

Payment

We try to make paying as straightforward and secure as possible for you. Currently, you can pay by Paypal, credit card, direct debit, Ideal or bank transfer/prepayment:

Payment via PayPal

To pay via PayPal, you need a free PayPal account. PayPal offers a variety of payment options and offers you additional security via PayPal Buyer Protection. If you would like to pay for your order via PayPal, you will be redirected to the PayPal website and asked to log in with your account or to register as a new user. Now just select the desired payment method (PayPal credit, debit or credit card) and confirm the payment. After completing your order with payment via PayPal, we will process your order straight away and in most cases send it out on that same day. No costs are incurred for PayPal payments.

This is how it works: 1) Open a free PayPal account at www.paypal.de 2) Add your bank account or credit card to your PayPal account. 3) You can now pay using PayPal.

SOFORT direct payment

Pay for your purchase via SOFORT direct payment with your usual online banking data, which we process via the payment provider KLARNA. Immediately after payment you will receive a transaction confirmation and your order can be processed directly. There are no costs for paying with SOFORT direct payment.

This is how it works: 1) After placing the order in our shop, you will be forwarded to KLARNA to complete the payment. First select your country and then choose the bank that should carry out the transfer. Simply enter your BIC, bank code or the name of your bank. 2) Log in and confirm your purchase. The information is transmitted to your bank in encrypted form. You then have to enter your TAN to confirm. For security reasons, each TAN can only be used once. Finished!

Payment via Credit Card

If you want to pay by credit card, choose this payment method in the checkout and complete your order. Following this you will be redirected to the website of our payment provider Adyen. Select your card type and enter your credit card number, expiry date and the three-digit verification code on the back of the card. Our payment provider Adyen ensures the highest security of your data, as you are also used to from other large online shops. After completing your order with payment via credit card, we will process your order straight away and in most cases send it out on that same day. No costs are incurred for credit card payments.

Payment via Bank Transfer/Prepayment

If you would like to pay by bank transfer/prepayment, choose this payment method when completing your order and submit your order. You will then receive an email with our bank details, to which you must transfer the purchase amount within 5 days. In order for us to be able to allocate your payment correctly, please state the order number specified in your order confirmation email

Direct Debit

As an alternative to bank transfer, you can grant a direct debit mandate (via our payment provider Adyen). Upon completion of the order, you will be redirected to the Adyen website where you can grant us a mandate to debit the payment with your IBAN (alternatively with the combination of account number and sort code) and your date of birth.

iDEAL

Especially for our customers living in the Netherlands, we offer iDEAL. Through this payment method, you can pay online through your own bank.

If you have received a discount voucher from us, you can redeem it in the shopping basket view. Enter your “discount code” in the correspondingly marked box and click on “Use Coupon”. Your shopping cart total will now be displayed taking this discount voucher into account. Please note: Only one discount voucher can be redeemed per order. Different discount vouchers cannot be combined. Discount vouchers cannot be used to buy gift vouchers. 

If you have bought or received a gift voucher, you can redeem it in the shopping basket view. Enter your “gift voucher code” in the correspondingly marked box and click on “Use Coupon”. Your shopping cart total will now be displayed taking this gift voucher into account. Please note: If the gift voucher has a higher value than your basket, you can use the remaining amount for your next purchase. Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash. The gift voucher expires 365 days after purchase. The expiry date is written on the received gift voucher via email. Gift voucher can only be redeemed in the country of purchase. Right of cancellation of ordered gift vouchers is 14 days after delivery, only valid for non-redeemed gift vouchers.

Product

We are a young company and are very focused on sustainable growth. In order to guarantee top class quality, we currently only produce small numbers of our backpacks. Therefore, it might be possible that your “favourite” of our products is sold out. If you write us at service@fitzandhuxley.com, we can let you know when it is back in stock.

Leather is a high quality natural product. Irregularities in colour and structure are part of the natural state of leather and are a typical sign of quality and authenticity. Your backpack is therefore genuinely unique! For this reason, your backpack may differ slightly from the product photos on our website. However, as part of our quality assurance process, we ensure that these deviations are only minimal.

We offer our bags in different sizes, so everyone can find the perfect fit. To make it easier to compare the sizes, we have created a size guide to help you in your decision to find the right bag for you.

Fitz & Huxley only uses naturally produced leather materials. Your backpack is therefore a natural product that will continue to develop its appeal over the course of its life-time.You find all information on how to take  care of your products best here.

We work with a growing network of retailers where you can find our products. Check our Store Locator to find a store near you. Of course you can also just order your favourite model online and send it back within 14 days (right of cancellation) without any issues, in case you don’t like something about it.

Since our foundation, our products have been an alternative to "fast fashion". With our bags and backpacks we strive for the perfect balance of style, functionality and sustainability. In addition, we always make sure that our company processes from production to marketing are as efficient as possible, do not cause any unnecessary costs, and enables us therefore to offer you good value for money. That's why we haven't increased our prices since our foundation in 2015 - but unfortunately there was no other choice now. And we hope you will understand.

Covid was a turning point for all of us and caused transport costs in particular to explode. To transport our products from India to Germany, we pay three to four times more than before the pandemic. Transports are delayed because ships cannot load or unload on schedule, making the high demand – especially for the new OCEAN line made from recycled ocean bound plastic – even more of a challenge for us.

In addition, there are increased material and labor costs: the costs for the materials that we buy to manufacture our products have increased continuously over the past five years and have increased significantly again in 2022. So that we now pay about 25% more for these raw materials. Furthermore, our Fitz & Huxley team in India and Germany is also struggling with rising food and energy prices, which is why we increased their salaries in the course of this development. As a relatively small company, we could no longer bear these additional costs without adjusting our prices.

After a two-week announcement period during which you could still buy at the old prices, we have increased prices by a moderate 8% on average. We hope you understand.
